Annie Strader

Annie Strader is an interdisciplinary artist utilizing digital, video, and sculptural processes to create objects, photographs, videos, installations and performances. She is a founding member of The Bridge Club Art and Performance Collaborative and works collaboratively with Matthew Weedman.  

 Her solo work has been presented at The Sculpture Center in Cleveland Ohio; The Hartnett Gallery in Rochester, NY; The Roy G Biv Gallery in Columbus, OH; The Urban Institute for Contemporary Art in Grand Rapids Michigan; The Athens Institute for Contemporary Art in Athens, Georgia; The Reed Gallery at The University of Cincinnati and featured in the Primera Bienal Internacional De Asunción 2015, Asunción Paraguay among other venues.

Strader’s work with The Bridge Club has been exhibited at numerous traditional and nontraditional spaces including Press Street for Prospect 3+ in New Orleans, LA; Museum of Contemporary Art in Santa Barbara, CA; The Texas Biennial in San Antonio, TX, Currents: The Santa Fe International New Media Festival in Santa Fe, NM;  Lawndale Art Center, Houston, TX; The Ulrich Museum in Wichita, KS and Flux Projects in Atlanta, GA.

Strader + Weedman have presented solo exhibitions at The Clara M. Eagle Gallery at Murray State University, Murray, KY; The Northcutt Steele Gallery at Montana State University, Billings, MT; San Jacinto College’s Black Box Installation Series in Houston, TX and The Baum Gallery at The University of Central Arkansas, Conway, AR.

Strader received her MFA from The University of Colorado in Boulder, CO and her BFA from Ohio University in Athens, OH. Strader is currently Associate Professor and Chair of Art at Wabash College.
